Hi I’m Sam from Fine & Country, back again in 2020 with my latest property update for January. 

Firstly may I wish you all a belated Happy New Year, a year, which promises to be an exciting time in the upper quartile of the local property market, as all the pent up demand from a cautious end to 2019 starts to create an uplift in activity. 

Indeed, the post Christmas bounce proved very fruitful as we agreed sales on two homes that had previously been on the market with other agents with no success. Two delighted vendors are now eager to find themselves a new home so we really could do with more stock to satisfy demand. As I speak we have scheduled seven new listings for the coming week for filming and professional photography to be undertaken so perhaps among these exciting properties is your new home? 

If you are considering a move in 2020 then now would be the time to get that all important market appraisal to establish market value and plan ahead. Despite the onset of Brexit, most market analysts do predict healthy price rises in the coming months largely due to the lack of stock and I very much see the same in the local market. Most of last year the areas that I work in, namely Warwickshire, Leicestershire & Northamptonshire, have seen strong increases in price that are outpacing other areas of the country and with our near perfect commuter links, incredibly good schooling and ‘value for money’ compared to the south east regions then I can safely predict that this trend will continue. 

I think it’s fair to say that the ‘shackles are off’ when it comes to the uncertain times of last year and we will look forward to a buoyant 2020.
